Planting for Pollinators

Bees, hummingbirds and butterflies bring movement and creativity to the garden. They make us look more closely at the intricacy and interplay in a garden. In observing pollinators, you can appreciate the marvel of how seeds are formed and how a plant grows. There is so much life, so much information, in the tiny packets of pollen they spread. Did you know that honeybees not only feed the world, but they are the only creatures that make their own food?

“A seed hidden in the heart of an apple is an orchard invisible.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
