Inviting Entrances

An entrance should reflect the home and the family within. It can start at the mailbox, a gate, a rock wall… It should not overwhelm the house, but rather be welcoming and guide you to the door. Design and plant selection should also plan for practical issues such as snow plowing and deer browsing.

“The clearest way into the universe is through a forest wilderness.” ~ John Muir, Scottish-born American naturalist
